CommunityFIT is a NO COST community-based fitness program that offers FREE fitness classes in various parks in downtown Sacramento. Currently, due to COVID-19 we are only offering classes virtually.

Classes are FREE.

Western Health Advantage understands that a healthy community is happy and productive. Our mission includes affecting positive change through outreach and giving back to our community.

CommunityFIT classes are for all fitness levels and abilities.

Yes, your wristband tells the class instructor and CommunityFIT facilitators that you have signed a liability waiver. For virtual classes, your name/email will be cross checked to ensure you have submitted your waiver.

Bring your wristband, an exercise/yoga mat, water, a small towel, and sunscreen if needed.

All the parks hosting the CommunityFIT program have street parking or parking garages close by. Participants are responsible for any parking fees.

Yes. Any items left behind will be returned to Western Health Advantage. Please email to inquire about lost items. WHA is not responsible for any lost items.

Western Health Advantage will analyze participation rates in each activity along with pre- and post-surveys to determine future class schedules.

There are 3 ways to register:

  1. Fill out the online registration form. Print and sign the liability waiver and bring it to your first class. or download and e-sign and send to

  2. Your employer may have registration packets that you can fill out and bring to your first class.

  3. You may register before your first class with a CommunityFIT facilitator.

Register online and submit a signed liability waiver to You may print, sign and scan, or e-sign and send your waiver. You will receive an email with instructions on how to join classes through WebEx once we have received your liability waiver.

You only need to register for CommunityFIT once. You will receive information on upcoming sessions automatically. Please update your liability waiver annually.

Anytime. Registration is always open.

If you are pregnant you will need to provide a note from your doctor to participate.

To ensure the safety of all participants, in person classes will be limited to 25 students. Classes are first come first serve. For virtual classes, there is a limit of 200 participants including the host and instructor.

Please email if you need a new wristband.

Please wear comfortable, breathable exercise clothing. Dress in layers on colder days. You must also wear your wristband to show you have registered and turned in the liability waiver.

Classes may be cancelled due to heavy rain/wind or extreme cold/heat.

All instructors are certified in group fitness and have many years of teaching experience.

Western Health Advantage offers fitness center discounts for its members. Please see for a full list of participating fitness centers.
