WHA Expands Coverage to North Bay

Sacramento-based health plan Western Health Advantage, announced today they are finalizing discussions with a regional network of physicians and hospitals in Marin, Napa and Sonoma counties with the intention to begin offering health coverage to local employers, their families and individuals on January 1, 2013. The geographic expansion by Western Health Advantage is still pending approval by the Department of Managed Health Care.

Western Health Advantage is partnering with the following entities that will make up the provider and hospital network:

  • Meritage Medical Network (formerly Marin-Sonoma IPA)
  • Healdsburg District Hospital
  • Marin General Hospital
  • Palm Drive Hospital, Sebastopol
  • Sonoma Valley Hospital
  • St. Joseph Health
    • Petaluma Valley Hospital
    • Queen of the Valley Medical Center, Napa
    • Santa Rosa Memorial
