WHA members now have two ways to get a flu shot – at your pharmacy or PCP

Published: October 30, 2020

It’s more important than ever this season to reduce the spread of respiratory illness, such as the flu. One reason is that if you get the flu, it could put you at risk for COVID-19.

Western Health Advantage is making it easier than ever to get your free flu shot. Now you have TWO choices to get your vaccine:

  1. At your Primary Care Provider (PCP) office. As always, you can call your PCP to check on when best to get your flu vaccine. WHA’s flu shot finder lists our medical groups and phone numbers.
  2. At any of our in-network pharmacies*. With the support of our medical groups, flu shots for anyone nine years of age and older, will be available at participating pharmacies with a zero copay. *OptumRx manages pharmacy care services for WHA members. If you are unsure where to go, search for an in-network pharmacy near you.

Don’t delay – get yours today – because after you get a flu shot, it takes about two weeks to build up antibodies.
