Western Health Advantage won first place at the Sacramento Business Journal’s annual Best Places to Work 2014 awards luncheon.

“I believe that people like to work at Western Health Advantage because they like the people they work with,” said Garry Maisel, Western Health Advantage President and CEO. “They feel like they contribute. They believe their contributions are acknowledged, that is really the heart of it.”

Winners were chosen based on results of a survey by Quantum Workplace, a market research firm in Omaha Nebraska. Quantum asked employees of nominated companies to complete an online survey that measures job satisfaction in 10 categories, including teamwork, trust, compensation and benefits. Companies were ranked and finalists were chosen in each size category.
