Translation and Hearing Impaired Services


Members who phone into the WHA Member Service Department may speak to a Member Service Representative in English or Spanish. For voice communication in other languages, the Medical Translation Department at University of California-Davis Medical Center is used. This is a service of the medical center, with translators on-site during business hours, covering such commonly-used languages as Vietnamese, Hmong, Russian and Mandarin Chinese. For the hearing-impaired, TDD/TTY service is available M-F, from 8am to 5pm in either English or Spanish. The phone number is (888) 877-5378 or you can just dial 711. WHA Member Services has brochures about the TDD/TTY service and a brochure can be requested by Fax, (916) 568-0126 or by mail:
