What to do in a Medical Emergency

If you believe you need emergency medical services, immediately dial 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Notify your primary care physician the next business day or as soon as possible.

Your WHA Member Identification Card should be presented at the time of service, and copayments are due at the time of service.

All emergency inpatient hospital admissions require notification to WHA on the next business day, or payment may be denied. Your WHA Member Identification Card is for identification purposes only and does not verify eligibility.

You can access your mental health benefits by contacting Magellan Behavioral Health at 1-800-424-1778.

Please read your combined Evidence of Coverage and Disclosure Form for plan details. If you have questions about how to use your WHA benefits in a medical emergency, please contact WHA Member Services at 1-888-563-2250, Monday through Friday 8:00-5:00. For the hearing-impaired, TTY services are available at 1-888-877-5378 or 1-800-735-2929.
