Why did UC employees lose Advantage Referral?

UC Davis Health determined that the high cost structure of its academic medical center is no longer compatible with a regional HMO like WHA, whose business strategy is to be a leader in market affordability. As part of this change, UC Davis Health will no longer participate in the Advantage Referral program.  While University of California employees can keep their current UC Davis Health PCP – or choose one in the future – access to the Advantage Referral program will no longer be available after December 31, 2017.

As an employee of UC do I have to change my PCP?

You and any covered family members may continue to see your current UC Davis Health primary care physician (PCP), if applicable, or select a UC Davis Health PCP in the future.
