NEW PROVIDER ORIENTATION PACKETS

It is the responsibility of each contracted medical group or IPA to notify WHA immediately when a new practitioner has been contracted as a WHA participating provider.

WHA mails a New Provider Orientation Packet within ten days of the effective date of a new direct provider contract. The packet includes a Welcome Letter, key policies and procedures, a copy of the most current provider newsletter, and other provider materials. WHA distributes provider orientation materials through the contracted medical groups or directly to the providers, as applicable.

Information and resources for providers are available in WHA's Provider Manual and on the website. You may request a policy/procedure or other WHA documents by calling WHA's Member Services at (916) 563-2250 or (888) 563-2250.
