Interplan Health Group

Western Health Advantage contracts with "Interplan Health Group", a preferred provider organization, to minimize the overall cost of care should a member be required in an emergency to visit a physician or hospital that is out of WHA's service area. Interplan providers can be identified by calling Interplan at 800-444-4036 or by visiting the Interplan website at www.interplancorp.com Please remember that these Interplan providers are not part of WHA's regular, direct-contracted network, and WHA will pay for your cost of covered medical care from these providers ONLY in an out-of-area emergency. Many people do not have the opportunity to choose the provider they will visit in an out-of-area emergency; however, if you do have this opportunity, we encourage members to choose Interplan providers as a means of reducing health care costs and thus premiums.
