New for 2008! Mental Health/Substance Abuse Benefits through UBH: In order to standardize care and provide consistency across all UC-sponsored plans, the University will offer behavioral health benefits for faculty, staff, non-Medicare retirees, and their family members enrolled in Western Health Advantage through United Behavioral Health (UBH) beginning 1/1/08. This may change the providers available to you. See the UBH website for more information: www.liveandworkwell.com (access code 11280). Medicare members should check their I.D. card and plan materials for information on accessing their behavioral health benefits.

Out-of-Pocket Limit

In compliance with California's Mental Health Parity Legislation, eligible in-network copays incurred for mental health diagnoses contained in the California Mental Health Parity Law will be applied toward your medical annual Out-Of-Pocket Limit. United Behavioral Health (UBH) will automatically report these copays to your medical carrier (dates of service incurred on and after January 1, 2008 without diagnosis or treatment information), so you will not be required to keep track of these costs. Staywell Wellness Program

Beginning in 2008, the University will offer a new wellness program for faculty, staff, retirees, and their adult family members enrolled in Western Health Advantage through StayWell Health Management. StayWell will provide an online health assessment and UC will offer a $75 gift certificate for completing the assessment through StayWell. If you use your gift certificate at a UC Recreational & Sports Facility, they will provide an additional $75 discount! StayWell will also provide access to extensive online health resources and healthy living improvement programs.
