About deductibles, copayments and the annual out-of-pocket maximum

As with many health care plans, yours has a deductible. The deductible is the amount you pay each year for covered medical and prescription services and supplies before WHA becomes responsible for expenses.

Some plans also require you to pay copayments after you meet your annual deductible. These are smaller, set amounts for covered services.

Once your costs for deductibles and copayments reach your annual out-of-pocket (OOP) maximum amount, you are done. WHA will pay 100% for your covered services for the remainder of the calendar year.

And... if you spend less than your HSA savings, that money is yours to invest in the future.
