Western Health Advantage contracts with "Interplan Corporation", a preferred provider organization, to minimize the overall cost of care should a member be required in an emergency to visit a physician or hospital that is out of WHA's service area. Interplan providers can be identified by calling Interplan at 800-444-4036 or WHA's Member Services Department at 888-563-2250, or by visiting the Interplan website at www.interplancorp.com. Please remember that these Interplan providers are not part of WHA's regular, direct-contracted network, and WHA will pay for your cost of covered medical care from these providers ONLY in an out-of-area emergency. Many people do not have the opportunity to choose the provider they will visit in an out-of-area emergency; however, if you do have this opportunity, we encourage members to choose Interplan providers as a means of reducing health care costs and thus premiums.

If your employer group has purchased corrective eyewear coverage as part of your health plan, your eyewear benefits will be available through Medical Eye Services.
