Preventive Health Guidelines

WHA's Preventive Health Guidelines were developed based on recommendations from nationally recognized sources such as the United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF), American Academy of Pediatrics, U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologist, and the Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC).

The information is designed to help you understand the preventive screening exams and services available to you and your family and can be viewed, downloaded, or printed. A mailed copy can be provided upon request by Member Services.

We encourage our health care providers to use the guidelines to help promote and educate their patients about potentially life-saving preventive services and screenings such as mammograms, colorectal cancer screenings and immunization recommendations. Health care providers apply the standards based on a patient's age, gender, and health risk-status.

By following these guidelines and working with your health care provider, you are taking important steps that help to safe-guard you and your family's health.
